Welcome to Creativity Works - raising the profile of, and engagement with the arts in Pennine Lancashire
Arts Engagement
Creativity Works arts engagement programme is funded by Arts Council England and Renaissance North West to increase engagement in the arts through partnership with local heritage venues.

Heritage Venues
Located throughout Pennine Lancashire, six key heritage venues are working together to plan, design and deliver joint, innovative ways of working with artists to reach new cultural audiences. The programme aims to link up existing activity and build on it, ensuring that Pennine Lancashire audiences engage with the arts and celebrate the areas’ heritage and culture.

ReVisit is a series of creative commissions developed by Creativity Works that has invited artists and designers to look at the collections of museums and venues in Pennine Lancashire in a new way. Over the spring and summer of 2011, Haygarth, Grennan & Sperandio, Timorous Beasties and Adept worked with the collections of the Haworth Art Gallery, Towneley Hall, Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery, and the North West Sound Archive, respectively. Each brought their unique approach to the process to develop work that was unexpected, insightful and, in some cases, challenging. The artists will talk about their own practice and the experience of working on the ReVisit program.
