I’m sure there’s some exceptions such as tablesawsbut the drills are a good example of a similar model being made with cheaper parts in China. Perfect for stuff around the house. Thanks, would be a good upcoming birthday gift for my old man.
Almost choked on my weeties when I read this “Bunnings’ ABN number used to avoid tax by dodgy tradies” https: Just had a look, drill and charger are ‘made in china’. Not surprised, often the big boys ask for a product from the supplier exclusively and at a cheaper price that cannot be bought elsewhere to appear as a bargain for their customers. My local Bunnings had 3 kits on the shelf, first 2 had all the batteries cleared out, i’d say some jerk grabbed them and stuffed them into another dril. I hope this helps you in finding the best model for your needs.
But they also have a couple of cheaper lower spec non LXT compatible cordless products that they stock and sell exclusively here. Quite often a better model is avaliable at the normal price elsewhere. I have included the specifications for dgill models for you to see the slight difference between the two. Then they advertise the model at a good price that cannot be purchased elsewhere, only they have it.
